These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Standard (the “Service”), a billing and invoicing platform. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1 Service Description
In brief: Standard provides invoicing, billing management, revenue analytics, and client portal tools for businesses and independent professionals.
Standard is a software platform for creating invoices, tracking payments, managing client billing, and viewing revenue analytics. It is not a bank, payment processor, or financial institution. You remain responsible for your client relationships and compliance with applicable tax and billing regulations.
2 Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You may not use the Service if you are prohibited from doing so under applicable law or if your account has been previously suspended or terminated.
3 Account responsibilities
In brief: Keep your credentials secure and notify us of any unauthorised access.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
4 Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited activities include:
- Attempting to probe, scan, or circumvent security measures
- Interfering with other users or disrupting platform operations
- Transmitting malware or harmful code
- Using the Service for unlawful purposes or to facilitate fraud
- Scraping or harvesting data without authorisation
5 User content
You retain ownership of content you submit through the Service. You grant us a limited licence to host, store, and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service. You represent that you have all necessary rights to submit such content.
6 Service Level Agreement
Target uptime: 99.9% monthly availability, excluding scheduled maintenance.
We strive to maintain high availability of the Service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where practicable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our reasonable control.
7 Availability & maintenance
We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance windows, infrastructure failures, or third-party outages may temporarily affect availability.
8 Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement where allowed.
9 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or zero if none). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law.
10 Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms, where permitted by applicable law.
11 Modifications
We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the date above. Continued use after changes may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.
12 Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time by closing your account.
13 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections require otherwise.
